...What You Make It.
Melissa K. Monroe, Ph.D., NCC, ASDCS, LPC, LMHC

Counseling and life are…What You Make It.
I believe that counseling is a way to grow and change for continued happiness and overall well being. It is my strong belief that counseling should be available to all individuals with focused and devoted time to you and your needs. I primarily practice cognitive behavior therapy, meaning that I will support you in recognizing your thoughts differently to effect change in your behavior and life. I am passionate about working with children, teens, and adults facing adversity via disabilities, LGBTQI, caregivers, etc.
When you choose me as your counselor, you can trust that:
~ Together we will find a pace that is comfortable and honors your needs for individuality.
~ I will respect and honor your needs as an individual and in session because you are unique to you.
~ I will provide a warm and nurturing environment to facilitate your change and growth.
